(Heartland Newsfeed) — It is no secret that the mainstream media gives way too much news coverage to elected officials and political candidates from the Democratic and Republican parties. We’ve kept coverage to a minimum besides coverage of statehouse affairs in Springfield. We at Heartland Newsfeed strive to avoid the political duopoly whenever possible.

So this is where we come in: Beginning Monday, January 8, we are interviewing all third party candidates running for political offices in 2018. From what municipal to county races, from state executive to the statehouse, from the U.S. House to the U.S. Senate, all political races in between, we intend to cover them from now until election day.

It honestly doesn’t matter where the candidate is from or what alternative political viewpoint they represented, their voices deserve to be heard.

We will need recommendations for candidates to review, as well as questions we can ask these candidates. You can refer those to me by sending them via email.
