LOS ANGELES (UPI) — Just 10 days before its scheduled release, Lionsgate has decided not to release Gotti, a film about infamous mobster John Gotti starring John Travolta.
The distribution company sold the film back to its producers, who will now meet with new distributors to release it, Tracking Board reported Tuesday.
Gotti was supposed to hit theaters on Dec. 15, but will now likely not be released until early 2018, Fox News reported.
The film also stars Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston, who plays Gotti’s wife, Victoria Gotti.
Gotti, which is directed by former Entourage star Kevin Connolly, has ran into problems before, according to IndieWire. Several big names have been attached to the film before, including Al Pacino, Lindsay Lohan, and Anthony Hopkins, but all bowed out for various reasons.
