King Township holds public hearing regarding proposed property tax hike

MORRISONVILLE (Heartland Newsfeed) — A public hearing will be held Monday, December 11 at 7 p.m. at the King Township building in rural Morrisonville. The agenda of the meeting is consideration of a proposed property tax levy hike within the township.

The proposed change will only involve corporate and special purpose taxes, which will be a 14.6% hike to $148,522.68 for 2017 compared to $129,600.94 in 2016.

Any individuals desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact the King Township supervisor at (217) 414-3114.
