St. Louis Blues’ Vladimir Tarasenko undergoes knee surgery

ST. LOUIS (UPI) -- St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, the team announced Tuesday. The Blues said the procedure was successful and the forward will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Tarasenko, 27, played in 76 regular-season games and recorded 68 points (33 goals, 35 assists) this season. The 33 scores marked the fifth consecutive 30-goal season for the forward. NASHVILLE (UPI) -- The Winnipeg Jets scored first and didn't look back, defeating the Nashville Predators 5-1 on Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The Jets (31-14-2) extended their winning streak to four games and increased their Central Division lead over Nashville (28-17-4) to four points following the victory.
