LeBron, Lakers agree to 2-year, $85 million extension
LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James agreed to a multiyear contract extension with the franchise Wednesday. James' agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group, told ESPN and The Athletic that James reached a two-year, $85 million extension with the Lakers. James' deal with Los Angeles runs through the 2022-23 season. James, who turns 36 at the end of this month, averaged 25.3 points and led the league in assists with 10.2 per game last season.
