FAA reports increase in unruly passenger incidents

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- Nearly 100 more incidents of unruly passenger behavior aboard U.S. airlines were recorded last week alone, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said. LAFAYETTE, La. (UPI) -- One person survived a small passenger plane crash in Lafayette on Saturday morning while trying to make an emergency landing, killing five people and injuring three others on the ground. Illinois lawmakers look to avoid FAA penalties amid jet fuel tax crackdown

SPRINGFIELD (Illinois News Network) -- After years of noncompliance, Illinois lawmakers are moving forward with legislation that would require local taxes on jet fuel go to aviation-related projects, not into local coffers.
