Early votes could push midterm turnout above 50 percent

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- More than 35 million people cast an early vote or absentee vote for the 2018 elections, an increase of more than 58 percent from 2014, preliminary data indicates. CBS fires Charlie Rose amid sexual harassment allegations

NEW YORK (UPI) -- CBS News announced Tuesday it has fired veteran broadcast journalist Charlie Rose. The move came a day after The Washington Post reported eight women alleged Rose behaved sexually inappropriately toward them between the late 1990s and 2011.
