Ammons, husband pleads not guilty to corruption charges

URBANA — State Rep. Carol Ammons and her husband, Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons, entered not guilty pleas to federal corruption charges Thursday while their supporters claimed their prosecutions were racially motivated. WASHINGTON -- A former Libertarian hopeful is asking a Federal court for guidance regarding the transfer of unspent campaign funds to the national Libertarian Party.
