NOKOMIS (Heartland Newsfeed) -- The immediate Heartland Newsfeed coverage area in central Illinois is under a winter weather advisory. The alert was issued at 3:34 a.m. via the National Weather Service in St. Louis, citing that the advisory is effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday evening running overnight until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. New wind chill advisory issued for East Central Illinois

LINCOLN (Heartland Newsfeed) -- The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a new wind chill advisory for all of East Central Illinois except Ford and Iroquois counties.  It starts at 8 p.m. Wednesday and goes until 12 p.m. Thursday. Wind chill readings could reach -25, leading to an increased risk for frostbite and hypothermia. So you should wear plenty of warm clothing while outside.

PATRICK SHORES, Fla. (UPI) -- Hurricane Irma left three people dead and 1.35 million in Florida without electricity Sunday morning after the Category 4 storm made landfall in the Keys.
