NEW YORK (UPI) -- The NHL and its players' association reached a tentative deal Friday to stage a 56-game season in 2021. The upcoming season would start Jan. 13 under the 56-game plan. SHAWNEE, Kan. -- A second team in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) is opting to sit out the 2020-21 season. This comes from a joint press release Wednesday from the NAHL and the Kansas City Scouts. NHL releases exhibition schedule for Stanley Cup Qualifiers

TORONTO/EDMONTON (Midwest Sports Network) -- The National Hockey League is making their final preparations leading up the return of hockey action to end the 2019-20 season. The teams will play 12 games over three days in hub cities.
