NEW YORK (UPI) -- Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was fined $500,000 for publicly criticizing NBA officials, the league office announced Friday. Russian airstrikes kill more than a dozen civilians in Syria

MA'RAT MASRIN, Syria (UPI) -- Russian airstrikes in northwestern Syria killed at least 14 civilians and injured several others on Thursday, rescue workers said. Syria Civil Defense, known as the White Helmets, said the attacks hit a shelter for displaced persons near Ma'rat Masrin in Idlib province. Several dead after tornado touches down in Nashville

NASHVILLE (UPI) -- Several people have been killed by a tornado that touched down in Nashville, Tenn., early Tuesday, authorities said. The number of dead in central Tennessee is at least six.
