MEXICO -- Residents of Mexico will likely experience some temporary interruptions of water service, discolored water, and/or lower water pressure. Missouri American Water is working on an ongoing water system improvement project, worth $2.4 million, to enhance the water service reliability to Mexico customers. These improvements include replacing 4-inch, 6-inch, and 10-inch cast-iron water mains installed in the 1950s and 1960s. They will be replaced with 8-inch and 12-inch PVC water mains. LADDONIA, Mo. -- A Vandalia man died in a two-vehicle accident along U.S. Highway 54, roughly a half-mile east of Audrain County Road 448 near Laddonia. Leto D. Voudrie, 83, of Moweaqua, died February 15, 2022 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Leto was born on October 29, 1938 in Mulberry Grove, the son of Clarence and Oneta (Knable) Voudrie.
