NEW YORK (Heartland Newsfeed) — “Have a few friends asked me to entertain the idea of running? The answer is yes. Have I ever seriously contemplated running and really analyzed it? And [then] said ‘hey I would like to run?’ The answer is absolutely no.”
That’s Anthony Scaramucci explaining why he accused BuzzFeed of “fake news” on Friday after the website ran a story on how the famed “front-stabber” is considering running for office, whether it be mayor of New York City, governor of New York, or (wait for it)… POTUS!

BuzzFeed, which famously posted the lurid details of the “golden shower” dossier, stood by its story despite Scaramucci’s protest.
One friend of Mooch told BuzzFeed that Scaramucci was “100% serious” when he recently asked peers if they thought he would make a good president
His campaign, according to a correspondence obtained by BuzzFeed, would be contingent on what happens with current officeholders. He supposedly wouldn’t run for governor if Andrew Cuomo goes through with seeking a third term in 2018. And he’d only run for president if Trump does not.
BuzzFeed said it’s not posting the actual correspondence to protect the identity of the source.
Scaramucci, for his part, says he’s “genuinely enjoying post-swamp life and working on several new business projects.”
