Hoskins decision could impact future congressional maps
Missouri voters are casting ballots Tuesday using congressional district boundaries approved by lawmakers last year. A petition drive is challenging the new map and seeks to put the issue before Missouri voters.
Secretary of State Denny Hoskins is expected to announce at 4 p.m. Tuesday whether enough signatures were collected to move the challenge forward. If the petition is certified, the dispute over Missouri’s congressional map could continue through the courts and potentially go before voters in a future election.
The challenge centers on the congressional map approved by the Missouri General Assembly in 2025, which redrew district boundaries across parts of the state.
