NEW ORLEANS (Heartland Newsfeed) — The Libertarian National Committee convened in New Orleans, the host of the 2018 national convention, last Sunday to decide the host city of their next national convention.
According to a report on Richard Winger’s Ballot Access News, the committee chose to hold their 2020 national convention and presidential nomination in the Lone Star State — in the city of Austin.
According to the report, no other political party, major or minor, has set a location for their 2020 nominating convention.
Our friends at Independent Political Report liveblogged the meeting’s proceedings, as well as text transcripts and video recordings of the meeting, which took place on Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10.
New Orleans is the host of the 2018 convention, following the convention which was last held in Orlando in 2016.
