We'll See About That with Ron Cey Episode 158 We go 76-6 Ron Cey
If you’re planning a move, chances are you know just how much you have on your plate. Moving into a new house is full of considerations, practicalities, financial questions, time, effort, investment and more. Sometimes, it can feel overwhelming going through all the things you need to in this process. So, let’s give you a few areas of focus that should help you to find the right property to meet your needs and preferences!
When browsing real estate websites, you’re going to notice that there are all sorts of properties of different ages available. This could include anything from new builds to old, graded or listed buildings. There’s no right or wrong answer to which of these is best. It falls entirely down to personal preference.
Some people prefer old properties, some people prefer new. Both will come with pros and cons. New properties tend to be in better condition, have more modern features and facilities and can often have better efficiency and insulation. Older properties can be more sturdy and built from better, longer lasting materials.

All homes are in different states of repair. So, you need to decide what kind of property you want to move into. Do you want to move into a house that is fully up to scratch? Or are you happy to do a little renovation or repair work?
The first is likely to come at a higher price, but you won’t have to do much once you’re moved in. The second tends to come at a lower cost, but you could find yourself spending time and money on rectifying the space when you move in.
The choice is entirely up to you. Everyone has different preferences and some people prefer fixer uppers!
You can spend a lifetime looking for a property that’s absolutely perfect and ticks every single one of your boxes. The truth is, if you find something that’s close, you can carry out some renovation work to bring it up to your expectations.
Is this something that you’d be willing to do? If so, your search could become a lot easier. Popular renovations include adding bedrooms or spare rooms, creating a home office, extensions, adding an en suite, loft conversions, and more.
Just make sure you can get planning permission for your desired projects before committing!
Not every home comes with a garden or other outdoor space. It’s a good idea to make a decision regarding green space before searching for properties. For some people, a garden is a make or break. Perhaps you have pets or children. For others, it’s negotiable.
Each of these considerations should help you to make a decision when it comes to house hunting and finding the perfect property to meet your needs and requirements. Start mulling them over and this should help to get the ball rolling!
