Illinois House 78 election: Camille Lilly (D), Joshua Flynn (L)
Camille Lilly, the current Democratic incumbent from Oak Park is under fire for some of her actions during the current General Assembly.
Known for her attempts making pumping gas into your own vehicles illegal, increasing the smoking age to 21, and even abolishing leaf blowers.
Enter Libertarian Joshua Flynn, who lives in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. He is an insurance specialist and community organizer.
Considering the absence of a Republican in this race, this is the first race in contention since Lilly was given an appointment to the seat in April 2010.
Very little to no polling data, few endorsements
There is not much in regards to polling in relation to the race, so the district is a toss-up.
Although there are no endorsements on record for Lilly, Flynn has endorsements from the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police and the Chicago Tribune editorial board.
