MANCHESTER, N.H. (Heartland Newsfeed) — The current sitting chairman of the Libertarian National Committee will not be seeking a fourth term, according to a post on Twitter Thursday.

Nicholas Sarwark, who has been the national chairman since 2014, states in a Twitter post that he would not seek another term.

Presidential candidate Adam Kokesh publishes speculation that Sarwark could become a potential running mate for Congressman Justin Amash. Amash recently made a declaration to run for the Libertarian presidential nomination Wednesday evening.

Kokesh publishes a screenshot of Sarwark stating he would “seriously consider” serving as a running mate for Amash. As a result, Kokesh ponders whether there was an arrangement already made. In addition, whether this agreement involves an endorsement in exchange for the vice-presidential nomination is currently not known.

Sarwark denies that there is an arrangement, adding that he would not seek the vice-presidential nomination.

The future of Sarwark: ‘stay tuned’

However, after two inquiries about what the future holds for him, Sarwark states, “stay tuned.”

In a following series of tweets, Sarwark would give an impression that his next role within the party will be a highly-visible position.

New chair election to take place in Austin – maybe

The Libertarian National Convention is pending for May 20-26 at the JW Marriott Austin in Austin, Tex. However, the convention is experiencing complications as a result of the venue canceling reservations without any prior notice.

Will the LNC revert to a digital convention?

A national committee teleconference will take place Saturday to determine further actions regarding the convention. One of the options is a digital convention, similar to the one the Alliance Party recently held. Moreover, the Green and Constitution parties are transitioning to digital conventions in the past couple of weeks.
