SPRINGFIELD (Heartland Newsfeed) — A wrestling legend in three different professional promotions will be making a guest appearance during an independent wrestling show in May, according to an announcement from indie organization Pinfall Wrestling Association.
The Springfield-based indie wrestling federation revealed on YouTube, represented in the video by commissioner Billy Alexander and “The Analyst” Robert Leach, details regarding the tenth annual Grand Wrestling Spectacle, which has been held in several venues including its upcoming venue.
In a breakdown of the show’s history, it was mentioned that Lanphier High School was once home to the show, a venue that has featured wrestling icons like “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, Dick The Bruiser, “Macho Man” Randy Savage and even guests like “Cowboy” Bob Orton, “Hardcore” Bob Holly, “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn and Michael Elgin.
Alexander and Leach went through the resume of their special guest, including singles and tag team titles with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment (WWF/WWE) and Total Non-Stop Wrestling (TNA, now known as Impact Wrestling).
It was revealed at the end of the video that “Big Sexy” Kevin Nash (also known as Diesel) will be the special guest at the Grand Wrestling Spectacle.
The tenth-annual show will be held May 23 at the 8th Street Gym in Springfield. The address is 1401 N. 8th Street. No ticket sales information were available as of publication.
