ATLANTA, Ga./LOS ANGELES (UPI) — Seventy new episodes of the animated comedy series Rick and Morty have been ordered for Turner’s Adult Swim programming block.
Show creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland announced they are heading back to work in an Instagram video shot while the two were showering together Thursday.
“Adult Swim has made a long-term deal with the creators that will include 70 new episodes of the critically acclaimed series that follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe,” a news release from the cable network said.
Featuring the voice talents of Roiland, Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer and Sarah Chalke, the show wrapped its third season in October.
