INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) — The Shield, one of the most powerful and successful groups in WWE history, officially returned Monday on Raw as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose joined forced once again.

The Hounds of Justice made their presence known to confront Intercontinental Champion The Miz and his villainous stable of Superstars including Curtis Axel and the tag team of Cesaro and Sheamus following the latest edition of Miz TV.

The segment featured The Miz handing out awards known as The Mizzies to his partners before The Shield crashed the party to exact revenge for the beatdowns they received last week. After clearing the ring of Cesaro, Sheamus and Axel, The Miz was left all alone allowing The Shield to deliver their patent Triple Powerbomb to the A-lister.

Backstage, as The Miz received medical attention, Raw general manager Kurt Angle announced to The Awesome One that he would be facing The Shield along with Sheamus and Cesaro in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at the next Raw-exclusive pay-per-view event, TLC on Oct. 22.

Later on in the night, Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose also exacted revenge on Braun Strowman following his victory over Matt Hardy. The Shield met The Monster Among Men at the top of the ramp where they attacked him together in order to bring down their towering rival.

The formidable trio then Triple Powerbombed Strowman through the announcers table. Afterwards, The Shield gave an interview backstage where they put the rest of the WWE on notice with Ambrose stating that he and his friends could take on four or five opponents at once.

“We are the three workhorses that run this business, and you can BELIEVE THAT!” Reigns said during the interview.

Ambrose’s comments however were used by The Miz to convince Kurt Angle to allow him a fourth partner in the form of Strowman in his upcoming Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match against The Shield.

Also on Raw during the main event, Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore defended his title against Kalisto in a Lumberjack Match that featured the rest of the Cruiserweight division surrounding the ring.

Kalisto won the match and became the new Cruiserweight Champion after he nailed Amore with a Salida del Sol from the top rope for the three count. Afterwards, Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali hoisted Kalisto in the air in celebration.

Other moments from Raw included Jason Jordan defeating Karl Anderson; Elias defeating Apollo Crews; Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss presenting Mickie James with a disrespectful retrospective on her career; The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher defeating Alexander and Ali; Emma winning a Fatal 5-Way Match against Alicia Fox, Dana Brooke, Bayley and Sasha Banks to earn the right to be the first woman to face Asuka; and Finn Balor was confronted by Bray Wyatt who was seemingly possessed by the spirit of his long thought dead mentor, Sister Abigail.
