Wastewater Treatment Operator

Northeast Public Sewer District is seeking a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Individuals will be responsible for the proper operations, process control testing and adjustments, sampling, reporting and maintenance of the assigned wastewater treatments plants. Must be knowledgeable of the basic operation of pumps, motors, blowers, electrical controls, mechanical equipment, and related treatment plant components. Must be knowledgeable in safe working practices, proper wastewater treatment plant operations, accurately reading, logging and record keeping of charts, meters and process control sampling and testing. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to understand and carry out oral / written directions. This position requires a Missouri Class “D” Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification within one (1) year after being assigned this position. Applicants must possess a minimum Class “B” CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsements. Candidates will be subject to pre-employment drug testing and background check.
