Evaluating results of quality control and implements corrective action when indicatednDetermining performance specifications for new methodsnConfirming and verifying results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzersnMonitoring quality assurance/continuous improvement programsnMonitoring safety programs in compliance with laboratory regulationsnUtilizes laboratory information systems or other methods to accurately and effectively report patient resultsnWriting laboratory procedures conforming to standardized formatnReporting test results conforming to established proceduresn nThe ideal candidate would possess:n nAbility to work in a high stress, high volume environmentnKnowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technologynKnowledge of the principles of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology as related to medical technologynSome knowledge of recent developments in the field of medical technologynAbility to instruct subordinate technologist in areas of medical laboratory testingnAbility to perform assigned tasks according to prescribed procedures and to make accurate observations and records of tests resultsnSkill in the use of medical laboratory equipmentnAnalytical thinking and communication skillsnAdvanced computer, scientific, mathematical, and organizational skillsnExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailnAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudenAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesn n n nJob requirementsnMinimum Educational Requirements:n nBachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institutionn If required by the State in which the laboratory is located, the appropriate State License to perform clinical laboratory testing. In California, must be licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health as a Clinical Laboratory ScientistnIn Georgia, must successfully complete a certification examination from ASCP, AMT, or NCA, or AAB WORKn n n nMinimum Experience & Qualification Requirements:n nMinimum 1-2 years experience (or more) in a laboratory settingnNo previous experience in Transplant TestingnKnowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technologynKnowledge of the principles of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology as related to medical technologynSome knowledge of recent developments in the field of medical technologynAbility to perform assigned tasks according to prescribed procedures and to make accurate observations and records of tests resultsnSkill in the use of medical laboratory equipment. nStrong organizational and planning skills as well as strong attention to detail.nStrong and effective written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skillsnProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software programs including accurate keyboarding skillsnInternal & External Customer-Centric SkillsnAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipn n n nBenefitsnPosition is full-time, 1st shift, 2nd shift, or 3rd shift.
