A multidisciplinary approach is taken when managing care contributing to quality outcomes. All patients presenting with the diagnosis of stroke/TIA and neuro except those who meet specific criteria for exclusion should be admitted to the Stroke Unit. Stroke/TIA patients will have continuous heart rhythm monitoring as ordered in the stroke/TIA admission order protocol and neuro patients will have continuous heart rhythm monitoring as ordered in the neuro orders.
