Mechanical Engineer

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a leading supplier in Chicago, IL. Role is responsible for the ongoing development of the plant’s assets and operation. The mechanical engineer will deploy foundational abilities such as problem solving, design work, data analysis, and project management in the pursuit of the team goals.n nResponsibilities: n n• Mechanical design work, drawings and calculations, as it relates to the repair or improvement of our existing assets or execution of capital project investmentsn• Hands on troubleshooting of mechanical and hydraulic systems to assist in the restoration of operation of equipment as requiredn• Technical calculations and analyses of our processes to improve our operationsn• Project management of both internal and external resources in the completion and execution of assigned projectsn• Technical writing in the development of standards and process documentationn• Drives safety and ensures all employees are adhering to safety procedures and rules.n nQualifications: n n• 5-10 Years’ Experience in Heavy Industry requiredn• Steel industry experience a plusn• Proficiency in Microsoft Office requiredn• Demonstrated proficiency in any industry standard design software required; Solidworks specific a plus
