IT Project Manager

We are working with our client in Hanover Park, IL who is looking for a dynamic IT Project Manager ready for the next step in their career.n nAs the IT Project Manager you will be responsible for various types of technology focused initiatives that are cross-functional and require collaboration across the organization. The IT Project Manager will adhere to and implement best practices and proven methodologies to ensure timely and effective delivery of project deliverables by providing leadership and direction to the Information Technology team, through strong partnerships with business stakeholders and a passion for innovation, we are driving transformation throughout the company. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for driving 2-3 of our high priority small projects as well as assisting Program Managers on some of the larger programs.n nThe successful candidate will have a technical background, be an industry-recognized expert in multiple fields of practice described and have detailed working knowledge of all other fields within IT including Windows, Oracle, Global Desktop and Site Support, and Information Security. Having successfully managed IT projects in an OEM environment, the IT Project Manager will be comfortable in an environment of uncertainty and rapid change, will be an expert problem solver, will proactively utilize documentation to create repeatable processes, and will be an established leader whose clear communication (upward, to peers, and giving direction to the team) is effective in rallying teams to a common goal.n nSome of the responsibilities are, but not limited to:n n• Lead ERP migration projects with overall responsibility for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, status reporting and closure.n• Drive activities to achieve measurable outcomes by managing schedule, resource, scope, deliverables, budget, risk, issue, dependency, and communications.n• Closely working with the headquarters IT organization and local functional team, provide framework for functional and technical specification documents for data integrations and related templates to support data mapping.n• Collaborate with functional leads to plan business process redesign activities along with system design roadmap.n• Provides timely updates to the functional leads and key stakeholders by producing regular project status reports.n• Assist with business process redesign activities along with system design roadmap.n• Work with the technical team to define and test any potential customizations to the solution, including data conversions, interfaces, and functional enhancement.n• Oversee DBAs and Desktop Support functions in the IT team.n n nQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree with 3+ year experience in IT project managementn n nPREFERRED SKILLSn• Project management skills – create and execute project plans, proactively manage risks/issues, attention to detail, independently maintain project documentation, drive/follow through open actions etc.n• People skills – Very strong team player, able to foster teamwork, collaboration, and a positive working environment to the project team.n• Analytical skills – Ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives, and recommend sound decisions.n• Strong aptitude to learn and self-motivatedn• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environmentn• High degree of integrity and professionalismn n#jobopportunity
