This position is responsible for the retention and driving of high-quality site traffic and revenue from email and SMS to meet and exceed digital marketing goals consistently. You will be expected to leverage current market insights, analytics, and best practices to continually optimize and grow the business. Must possess strong attention to detail, creativity, project management, analytical, and communication skills.nn nn n nn nn Responsibilities: nn nStrategic planning and day-to-day management of email marketing programs, including content creation, coordinating and routing creative, advanced segmentation, journey building, drip campaigns, list hygiene, A/B testing, abandonment, optimization, scheduling, template setup, and weekly reportingn nOwn the end-to-end veterinarian (B2B) and consumer (B2C) lifecycles, overseeing, and developing various touchpoints within the user journey—welcome, reengagement, cart abandonment, transactional, post-purchase, etc.n nImplement a segmentation strategy that encompasses various vet/consumer profile 1P and 0P data and triggers based on a prior purchase or behavioral datan nProvide weekly reporting, analytics, and actionable insights to internal and executive teamsn nResponsible for developing and leveraging technical systems (data, templates, automations, processes) to drive efficiencies and enable the execution of product, promotional, and triggered email campaignsn nConceptualize and implement segment-specific campaigns; strategy, execution, analysis, optimization, recommendations, and reportingn nProvide reporting on internal KPIs – identifying opportunities for growth and improving efficiencyn nIdentify new opportunities for growth and methods to improve email efficiencyn nStrategize, deploy, and analyze a two-way SMS plan to augment email engagement, traffic, and salesn nHelp enhance the company’s digital marketing ecosystem (ESP, CRM, CMS, etc.)n nWork with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, IT) and external partners (agencies, vendors) responsible for campaign executionn nn n nn nn The ideal candidate will possess: nn nSolid knowledge and skills with principles of applied marketing analytics, including customer segmentation, A/B testing, conversion funnels, statistical targeting optimization modelsn nUnderstanding of digital marketing best practices and their impact on salesn nAbility to work both autonomously as well as within a team environment n nStrong drive for continuous improvement – creating efficiencies & processes, innovating, maximizing growth, accelerating the rate of new customer acquisition, and improving program profitabilityn nProven project management skills – effective collaborator and consensus builder with a focus on completing on-time and budgetn nStrong analytical capacityn nUnderstanding of HTML and CSSn nDemonstrated ability to grow sales, increase conversions, and engage subscribersn nExperience in quantifying marketing impact and campaign performance, including but not limited to ROI analysesn nExcellent writing skillsn nEntrepreneurial attituden nDemonstrated flexibility – adapts and welcomes a changing work environment while meeting company and department milestonesn nMust thrive in a fast-paced environment and be excited for change as the company growsn nEcomm, CPG, and/or animal health experience preferredn nn n nn nn Required Skills & Experience: nn nBachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communicationsn n3-7 years of dedicated experience managing email and SMS programsn nExperience in quantifying marketing impact and campaign performance, including but not limited to ROI analysesn nExperience implementing digital marketing strategies, tactics, and toolsn nStrong knowledge of best practices for email creative, segmentation, automation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM regulationsn nExperience managing email and SMS databasesn nn n nn nn Compensation: nn nCompetitive Compensation package based on experiencen nSalaried Position with unlimited potential for growthn nn n nn nn Benefits Offered – Full Benefits: nn nHealth, Dental & Vision Insurancen nDisability &Life Insurancen n401K & Profit Sharing Retirement Plann nPaid Time Off & Personal Daysn nn n nn nn Location: nn nnChicago hybrid or Remote (ideally in the midwest as monthly travel is required) nn
