On today’s episode of Felony Friday Nicholas Stein joins John to share his personal history in the criminal justice system and how it’s motivated him to help to change marijuana laws in his home state.
Nicholas made some careless decision during his youth and ended up with two marijuana convictions, a misdemeanor for possession and a felony for intent to distribute. He is now working full time to change the marijuana laws so others don’t get caught in the same net. Nicholas is working with other activists to lobby for the legalization of recreational marijuana in Connecticut and to automatically expunge criminal records for certain marijuana crimes.
