Heartland Newsfeed – Advertising Sales Representative

Heartland Media Group of Central Illinois is seeking high-skilled advertising sales representatives to join our staff to contribute content for our Heartland Newsfeed digital media organization.

About us

Heartland Media Group of Central Illinois is a local digital media organization based in Nokomis, Illinois. It manages the daily operations of the Heartland Newsfeed news organization, as well as operations for its sister radio and podcast networks.

Heartland Newsfeed nets roughly 5,000 views daily and continues to expand as our newsroom expands. It has reached an audience in 39 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, and India. It has been in operation since December 31, 2016, marking its fifth anniversary in 2021. Overall, the website nets roughly 100,000 to 125,000 monthly views, and that continues to skyrocket.

Heartland Newsfeed Radio Network is an Internet-exclusive radio network that operates in a news and sports talk format. It has an audience reach in 27 countries and can be regularly heard on Spreaker, Live365, and Shoutcast.com. It began operations on December 31, 2018.

Heartland Newsfeed Podcast Network comprises of partner podcasts as a part of media partnerships. They include Anarchast, Bedroom Beethovens, and The BAD Crypto Podcast, as well as network exclusive podcasts.

About this position

This is an independent contractor position and 100% remote. However, there are future opportunities to make it a permanent, full-time position.

Candidates can be from anywhere in the domestic U.S. However, we recommend anyone who lives within our coverage regions within the states of Illinois and Missouri.

With support from the managing editor and editor-in-chief, you will be able to sell advertising for our digital media products, including for our radio and podcast networks.

This contract position pays a 60% commission plus mileage reimbursement for any distances driven a total of 50 miles or more at the rate of 60 cents per mile involved in selling advertising.
